Adventure Course: Sailplane & Gyro

Through a collaboration between Malmö Segelflygklubb and Skånska Gyrokopterklubben, we can offer an adventure course where you have the opportunity to fly a total of three times on three freely chosen aircraft. The following options are available to choose from:

• Glider – You’ll be towed up in a glider together with a flight instructor at least 500 meters above the ground, after which it is the thermals that determine how long the flight will be. Book by phone: tel 0766-516060.
• Powered sailplane – Together with a flight instructor, you will sit in a motorized sailplane with the opportunity to navigate in the local area. Flight time approx. 30 minutes. Book by phone: tel 0766-516060.
• Gyroplane – Not as high, but an unforgettable view thanks to wings made of a rotor above you that does not obstruct your sight. Flight time approx. 30 minutes. Book by phone: 0736-636089.

Value Certificate, Payment, and Delivery

When you purchase, you’ll receive a value certificate that entitles the holder to three flights according to the above, with our skilled instructors in the form of practice lessons or introductory flights. The certificate holder can be you yourself, or someone you would like to give it to as a gift card. The value certificate is delivered as a PDF file once the payment has been registered. As an additional option, you can also get the value certificate printed and sent by mail. If you pay with Swish, you receive the PDF immediately.

Booking

Normally, you purchase the value certificate first. Once it has been delivered, you contact the club and book a time for the flight. Feel free to get in touch at least one week before your desired time.

Gyroplanes are less weather-sensitive than most other aircraft in the same weight class, but they still depend on suitable weather. Low clouds, fog, rain, snow, or similar conditions can make the flight less enjoyable or even impossible to carry out. If that happens, you’ll be allowed to reschedule to another day. Safety above all!

Terms

Due to the weight limitations of the aircraft, we cannot fly passengers who weigh more than 110 kg. For anyone who then wants to go on to obtain certificates at the flight school, the maximum weight is 100 kg. The maximum weight in the pilot seat on our aircraft is 110 kg. The value certificate must be redeemed no later than 12 months from purchase. If needed, the validity can be extended by contacting the club.
