You get to take over the controls yourself and steer the gyroplane in the air among the clouds. You’ll fly together with an experienced pilot who lets you experience the thrill of maneuvering the gyroplane yourself in completely safe conditions.
Pilot for a day is a three-hour experience where you accompany one of our experienced pilots on a trip to another airfield and back. You’ll take part in everything a pilot does, such as inspecting the gyroplane, planning the flight, going through charts, and requesting permission if the flight is to be carried out in controlled airspace (near Sturup Airport).
The actual flight time is about 80 minutes.
We have all the necessary equipment needed for flying year-round: coveralls, a thermal jacket, gloves, a helmet, and hearing protection. Come as you are.
If you get bitten by the bug and want to move on to certification, you can count the flight time from the trial lesson as your first lesson. The value voucher also grants the holder guest membership in the club, which includes a discount when signing up for regular annual membership.
Value voucher, payment, and delivery
When you purchase, you’ll receive a value voucher that entitles the holder to one hour of flying with one of our skilled instructors, in the form of a trial lesson. The holder can be you yourself, or someone you’d like to give it to as a gift card. The value voucher is delivered as a PDF file once the payment has been registered. As an extra option, you can also receive the value voucher printed and sent by mail. If you pay with Swish, you’ll receive the PDF file immediately.
Booking
Normally, you purchase the value voucher first. After it has been delivered, you contact the club and book a time for the flight. Please get in touch at least one week before your desired flight time. Book a time by emailing bokning@gyroflyg.se. Or call 0736-636 089 on weekdays 17:00–20:00 and weekends 09:00–20:00. Provide the value voucher’s ref. no.
Gyroplanes are less weather-sensitive than most other aircraft in the same weight category, but they are still dependent on suitable weather. Low clouds, fog, rain, snow, or similar conditions can make the flight less comfortable or even impossible to carry out. In that case, you’re allowed to reschedule to another day. Safety first!
Terms and conditions
Due to weight limits of the aircraft, we cannot fly passengers who weigh more than 110 kg. For those who then want to move on and obtain a certificate through the flight school, the maximum weight is 100 kg. Maximum weight in the pilot seat on our flight aircraft is 110 kg. Value vouchers must be redeemed no later than 12 months from purchase. If needed, the validity can be extended for an administrative fee by contacting the club via bokning@gyroflyg.se.
