Introduction Flight in UL Seaplanes

Through our collaboration with Sjöflyg Syd, we can offer this exotic introductory flight. In a seaplane, you take off without hindrance and land on the water surface. With a view in all directions, you can enjoy the scenery of beautiful lakes in Skåne and the beautiful coastline. This is flight as the gods intended it. Your unique photos will impress. The aircraft is easy to maneuver and has dual controls. Thanks to modern equipment and headsets with effective noise reduction, we can fly comfortably—but on floats, we fly only during the period April–October.

The Flight

During the introductory flight, you get to experience Skåne from the air. We depart by agreement, and depending on the weather, from some lake in Skåne. If the pilot deems it suitable, you will be able to try flying the aircraft yourself and get to know the aircraft’s exciting handling characteristics. During one hour, you’ll have time to leave the dock, taxi to a suitable location for takeoff, make a few takeoffs and landings on several lakes, and take photos from the air, before landing back and parking at the dock again.

We have all the necessary equipment for the flight: life jackets and headsets. Come as you are.

The value voucher also provides the holder with guest membership in the club, which includes a discount when signing up for a regular annual membership if any training is started with us at a later time.

Value Voucher, Payment, and Delivery

When you purchase, you will receive a value voucher that entitles the holder to one hour of flying with one of our experienced pilots in the form of an introductory flight. The holder can be you yourself, or someone you want to give it to as a gift card. The value voucher is delivered as a PDF file once the payment has been registered. As an additional option, you can also have the value voucher printed and sent by post. If you pay with Swish, you will receive the PDF file immediately.

Booking a Time

Normally, you purchase the value voucher first. Once it has been delivered, you contact the club and book a time for the flight. Feel free to get in touch at least one week before your desired date and time for the flight. The instructor will provide you with the address of the dock where the aircraft is located. Book your time by emailing bokning@gyroflyg.se. Or call 0736-636 089 on weekdays 17:00–20:00 and weekends 09:00–20:00.

UL aircraft with floats depend on suitable weather. Low clouds, fog, rain, or similar conditions can make the flight less comfortable or even impossible to carry out. In that case, you will need to reschedule to another day. Safety first!

Terms

Due to the weight limitations of the aircraft, we cannot carry passengers weighing more than 110 kg. For anyone who later wishes to go on to get certificates at the flight school, the maximum weight is 100 kg. The maximum weight in the pilot’s seat in our aircraft is 110 kg. The value voucher must be redeemed no later than 12 months from the purchase date. If needed, the validity can be extended for an administrative fee by contacting the club.
