Introductory flight in an enclosed gyro

In a closed gyroplane, you fly in maximum comfort. You sit side-by-side with the pilot and can see what he is doing while you glide over the landscape. The aircraft is an Auto-Gyro Cavalon, a comfortable and quiet travel machine with a heated cockpit.

The flight

During the test flight, you get to experience Skåne from the air. We take off from an airfield outside Lund or from the Sjöbo/Sövde airport by agreement. If the pilot considers it appropriate, you can also try steering the machine yourself and get acquainted with the gyroplane’s unique and exciting flying characteristics. During one hour, for example, you might:

• Fly towards Malmö and see Turning Torso (departing from Lund)
• or fly along the Fyledalen valley over beautiful Natura 2000 areas to Ales stenar (An island of standing stones)
• or fly along the beautiful west coast along the Öresund

In our enclosed, heated aircraft, you can fly comfortably all year round. Come as you are.

The value voucher gives the holder guest membership in the club, which includes a discount when signing up for regular annual membership.

Value voucher, payment, and delivery

When you purchase, you receive a value voucher that gives the holder the right to one hour of flying with one of our skilled pilots. The holder can be you yourself, or someone you want to give it to as a gift. The value voucher is delivered as a PDF file once the payment has been registered. As an additional option, you can also have the value voucher printed and sent by mail. If you pay with Swish, you receive the PDF file immediately.

Booking a time

Normally, you purchase the value voucher first. Once it has been delivered, you contact the club and book a time for the flight. Please get in touch at least one week before your desired date. Book your time by emailing bokning@gyroflyg.se. Or call 0736-636 089 on weekdays 17:00–20:00 and on weekends 09:00–20:00.

Gyroplanes are less weather-sensitive than most other aircraft in the same weight class, but they still depend on suitable weather. Low cloud cover, fog, rain, snow, or similar conditions can make the flight less enjoyable or even impossible to carry out. In that case, you will be allowed to reschedule to another day. Safety first!

Terms

Due to the aircraft’s weight limitations, we cannot fly passengers who weigh more than 110 kg. For those who later want to move on and obtain certificates at the flight school, the maximum weight is 100 kg. The maximum weight in the pilot seat in our enclosed aircraft is otherwise 125 kg. The value voucher must be redeemed no later than 12 months from purchase. If needed, the validity can be extended by contacting the club.
