In an open gyroplane, your view is unobstructed in all directions, and the scents of nature meet you as you fly over the rolling landscapes of Skåne. This is flight as the gods intended. Ideal for aerial photography! Our open machines are lively, easy to maneuver, and have dual controls. Thanks to state-of-the-art equipment, including headsets with effective noise reduction and electrically heated clothing, we can fly comfortably all year round. Because we train our students specifically in open machines, this is a great choice for anyone considering moving on and taking a gyroplane certificate.
The flight
During the introductory flight, you get to experience Skåne from the air. We depart from the Sjöbo/Sövde airfield. If the pilot deems it appropriate, you can also try flying the machine yourself and get to know the gyroplane’s unique and exciting flight characteristics. During one hour, you can for example:
- Fly along the Fyledalen valley over beautiful Natura 2000 areas to Ale’s Stones
- or fly to Sturup International Airport and land on the main runway
- or fly wherever you want within the time limit
If you’d like to treat a friend, you can share a gift voucher, then it will be about 30 minutes each, with about 25 minutes in the air.
We have all the necessary equipment for flying year-round: an overall suit, a heated jacket, gloves, a helmet, and hearing protection. Come as you are.
The value voucher also grants the holder guest membership in the club, which provides a discount when signing up for a regular annual membership.
Value voucher, payment, and delivery
When you purchase, you receive a value voucher that entitles the holder to one hour of flying with one of our experienced pilots, in the form of an introductory flight. The holder can be you yourself or someone you would like to give it to as a gift voucher. The value voucher is delivered as a PDF file once the payment has been recorded. As an additional option, you can also receive the value voucher printed and sent by post. If you pay with Swish, you get the PDF file immediately.
Booking
Normally, you buy the value voucher first. After it has been delivered, you contact the club and book a time for the flight. Please get in touch at least one week before your desired time. Book a time by emailing bokning@gyroflyg.se. Or call 0736-636 089 on weekdays 17:00–20:00 and weekends 09:00–20:00.
Gyroplanes are less weather-sensitive than most other aircraft in the same weight class, but they still depend on suitable weather. Low clouds, fog, rain, snow, or similar conditions can make the flight less enjoyable or impossible to carry out. In that case, you’ll be allowed to reschedule to another day. Safety first!
Terms and conditions
Due to weight limitations of the machines, we cannot carry passengers weighing over 110 kg. For those who later want to continue and obtain certificates at the flight school, the maximum weight is 100 kg. Maximum weight in the pilot seat in our aircraft is 110 kg. Value vouchers must be redeemed no later than 12 months from purchase. If needed, the validity can be extended by contacting the club.
