Introductory Flight, Long

In an open gyroplane, the view is unobstructed in every direction, and nature’s scents meet you as you fly over the rolling landscapes of Skåne. This is flight as the gods intended it. Ideal for aerial photography! Our open aircraft are lively, easy to maneuver, and have dual controls. Thanks to state-of-the-art equipment, including noise-reducing headsets and electrically heated clothing, we can fly comfortably year-round. Since we train our students specifically on open aircraft, this is a great choice for anyone considering taking the next step and getting a gyrocopter certificate.

The flight

During the introductory flight, we fly an extra-long route—around 80 minutes of flight time—and we have time to experience Malmö. If the pilot deems it appropriate, you may also try maneuvering the machine yourself and get to know the gyroplane’s unique and exciting flight characteristics. In about an hour, you can, for example:

• Fly toward Malmö and see the Turning Torso
• or fly along the beautiful west coast along the Öresund
• or fly any route you like
• or make your own approach at the international airport of Sturup

We have all the necessary equipment for flying year-round: flight coveralls, a heated jacket, gloves, a helmet, and hearing protection. Come as you are.

If you get the bug and want to proceed to a certificate, you can count the flight time from the introductory session as your first lesson. The voucher also provides guest membership in the club, which means a discount when signing up for a regular annual membership.

Voucher, payment, and delivery

When you purchase, you receive a voucher that entitles the holder to one hour of flight with one of our experienced pilots, in the form of an introductory flight. The holder can be you yourself, or someone you would like to give it to as a gift card. The voucher is delivered as a PDF file once the payment has been registered. As an extra option, you can also receive the voucher printed and sent by mail. If you pay with Swish, you will receive the PDF file immediately.

Booking

Normally, you purchase the voucher first. After it has been delivered, you contact the club and book a time for the flight. Please get in touch at least one week before your desired flight time. Book a time by emailing bokning@gyroflyg.se. Or call 0736-636 089 on weekdays 17:00–20:00 and weekends 09:00–20:00.

Gyroplanes are less weather-sensitive than most other aircraft in the same weight class, but they still depend on suitable weather. Low clouds, fog, rain, snow, or similar conditions can make the flight less comfortable or impossible to carry out. In that case, you will need to reschedule to another day. Safety first!

Terms and conditions

Because of the aircraft’s weight limits, we cannot fly passengers who weigh over 110 kg. For those who later want to go on and obtain a certificate through our flight school, the maximum weight is 100 kg. Maximum weight in the pilot’s seat on our aircraft is 110 kg. The voucher must be redeemed no later than 12 months from purchase. If necessary, the validity can be extended by contacting the club.
